It is with great pleasure that we present our second Sustainability Report, a further step forward in our journey of transparency, accountability and commitment to sustainability.
Along with the company’s history, the report details a year of tangible actions taken in line with the medium-term objectives defined in the improvement plan for our governance, social, and environmental performance, which was drafted in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative Sustainability Standards.
In recent months, we have heard from a large number of people, who represent our stakeholders, both within the company and from the outside. We were particularly pleased to discover how innovation, the quality of our products, as well as the care and attention we have paid to the environment and the people who work at Olitalia – which are the salient points of our strategy – were recognised and attributed spontaneously as strengths.
This dialogue has allowed us to better create our second Sustainability Report and, in the future, will allow us to refine our strategies and implement initiatives that create value for everyone.
The most significant projects among those implemented in 2023 are the adoption of automated control and monitoring systems for the production process and the installation of new machinery, the "Used but not overused" project aimed at the food service sector to raise awareness among chefs and restaurant managers about the proper disposal of used cooking oil, and the implementation of corporate welfare policies.
